I finally tried Le Bilboquet in the city after going to the one in the Hamptons many times. Mt friends and I had a great experience, with good service and good food. This is a nice place to come to in midtown for French food.
Simple french brasserie cuisine in an understated elegant space. I had the mussels that came in a huge pot with toast and fries. Wines are lovely and my friends lobster salad was enjoyed as well. After a day of shopping on Madison, this is a wonderful spot to relax, eat and drink!
Le Bilboquet in NYC is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with an air of understated elegance and a vibrant atmosphere that sets the stage for an exceptional dining experience. The attention to detail in every aspect -from the chic décor to the impeccable service -is truly remarkable. The menu is a masterclass in French cuisine with a modern twist. Their signature Cajun Chicken is a must-try: tender, perfectly spiced, and accompanied by the most flavorful fries. The caviar selection is exquisite, offering a luxurious touch to the dining experience -perfect for a special occasion or simply indulging. And let's not forget the Wagyu burger -cooked to perfection, juicy, and topped with just the right balance of flavors, it's easily one of the best burgers in the city. What sets Le Bilboquet apart is not just the food but the ambiance. It's lively without being overwhelming, making it perfect for a celebratory night out or an intimate dinner. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in ensuring every guest has a memorable experience. Whether you're a local or just visiting, Le Bilboquet is a culinary destination that deserves a spot on your list. It's not just a meal -it's an experience that leaves you counting the days until your next visit.
We a group of four, had an exceptional dinner at Bilboquet. We began with the Crudo du Jour--delicious tuna crudo with salmon roe on avocado, paired with a standout Lentilles en Salade with a poached egg, mustard dressing, and frisée. The flavors were unique, fresh and well-balanced. For the main course, the Les Moules Marinières et Frites (PEI steamed mussels in white wine) were spectacular. Served in a large deep red cast iron pot, the generous portion of mussels came with an exquisite broth that was rich and flavorful. The Bronzino was excellent but the highlight was the red snapper for two, impeccably fresh, served with perfect Duchesse potatoes. We also enjoyed a well-prepared cooked fennel salad (outstandingly good) and steamed spinach as sides. For dessert, we indulged in profiteroles and flambéed crêpes Suzette, which was prepared tableside. The presentation was not only elegant but also stirred nostalgic, romantic memories of dinners in France. These desserts were a fantastic finale to an incredible French dining experience. The service was outstanding. Bilboquet is an elegant, upscale restaurant, and while the cost reflects this, the experience justifies it (the upscale, refined restrooms alone are enough to justify the added cost, enhancing the overall luxurious experience).
Simple classic everything was delicious The service was definitely on par not overbearing attentive. I sat outside people watching it was beautiful inside clean classic.
@lebilboquetny started it all in 1986 as an intimate boîte and now is thriving on the UES with their gorgeous restaurant. Le Bilboquet is perfect for a celebration dinner! Came here for a birthday brunch, my friend wanted to get tipsy and dance. This review is for the overall experience and not precisely the food. Pro tip: brunch starts at 2PM, before and after 2PM are different worlds. Nomz: Had the famous Cajun chicken, the fries were delicious as was the salad that came with it. The Cajun sauce was very good and helped the chicken as it was a bit dry, white meat. Drinks: Had the top one on the cocktail menu, it was refreshing and nice. Service: It was great and over the top in the best way. They danced, they brought drinks, they refilled drinks, they took your pics/videos, they made the lights flicker with the music, they did it all. Ambiance: Before 2pm I would describe as fancy vibe with white table clothes, even a bit stuffy maybe. After 2pm, the lights are dimmed, the dj starts spinning awesome tunes and sparklers start coming out with bday bottles. Everyone dances, everyone has fun but didn't see anyone get sloppy. Nope or Dope: Dope, if you're looking for good drinks and a good time in a upscale/classy environment come here!
Always perfection. I love their famous Cajun chicken that is so moist and an extremely generous portion with crispy fries and fresh salad. The wine selection is excellent and so are the deserts. The ambiance is elegant but upbeat. Seating is comfortable and service is impeccable. It's always a pleasurable experience.
Everything was spot on, food, service and ambiance. The truffle risotto, Cajun chicken and the duck were outstanding. The desserts were the icing on the cake (pun intended) Looking forward to our next visit.
